2017-04-21 Trip Day 26

Day 26, April 21 Homecoming - Sydney We step out of the plane around 5:15 am. Customs and immigration is a breeze and we are greeted by a splendid sunrise. Viewed from the train at Milsons Point. We feel very content to be home.

2017-04-13 Trip Day 18

Day 18, April 13 On Cruise - Vienna Morning cruising down the Danube to arrive in Vienna. It's a wet day, only the second for the trip although the first few days of the cruise were somewhat misty. No, I didn't move the camera - it's rain running down the bus window. The ladies elected to sit in a coffee shop while Donal & I pushed on with the guided walking tour. After all, I'll never be back here. The Spanish Riding School. The stables are all around the bottom level and all the horses were staying in under cover. After dinner, by Royal Invitation we enjoyed a concert given by the Palace Orchestra at City Palais Lichtenstein. Sorry, no photos!

2017-04-20 Trip Day 25

Day 25, April 20 Singapore Didn't become conscious until 9:30 am. Must have needed the sleep! Just made it to the restaurant in time to get a good breakfast before it closed at 10:30. Did an obligatory walk around the Changi Village shopping centre (at midday - what is it they say about dogs and Englishmen?). Wonderful place if you want to eat something, but after our late breakfast, that wasn't really attractive. Our beautiful cool room felt really great after the walk. Who needs to walk to see the sights, when we can see Malaysia from our own window? Well, I think that mountain that is almost hidden in mist is Malaysia! This room includes the Singaporean oddity that i discovered on my first trip here: the picture window into the bathroom. We were able to upgrade the room to Club class at a small price so we have late checkout allowing us to rest until time to leave for the airport. Last leg.
