Day 23, April 18
Budapest and London
Last day away - today sees the beginning of our long trip home. Check out after breakfast, then catch trams and buses to the Holocaust Memorial. It is deeply moving to see the Hungarian record of their own involvement and to read about (and see maps of) incidents that happened right in the district we have been exploring over the last few days.It all felt far too solemn to take photos.
Found our way to the Great Synagogue only to find that it was closed for the period of Pesach and would not be open till tomorrow. Back to our hotel to get the transfer to the airport and we are on our way.
