On Cruise - Bamberg
A relaxing morning cruising up the Main preparing for an afternoon walking tour. We were advised of hold ups ahead due to lock congestion, so we moored to this little river-side pier, the buses were re-routed. A new experience for the campers as a whole ship-load of people disembarked through their caravan park.
A large part of Bamberg has been declared UNESCO heritage Area

Bamberg is on the Regnitz River which forms the beginning of the Main/Danube Canal. Overnight we cruise the canal heading to Nuremberg.
